Financial Breakthrough

I do not believe in the "Prosperity Gospel", as some self-serving and money loving preachers teach it. They say "give me your money and God will return it to you and bless you many times more." What they almost say is that God is obliged to submit to our self-serving choices, desires and greed; that He is obligated to us because of our actions, which sometimes are like investing in lottery. But on what basis do they come up with such teachings?

In fact the Bible provides plenty of background to believe and teach prosperity. It is true that when we give for the work of the Kingdom of God, it is like planting a seed. What we sow, is what we shall reap. Whatever we want to reap, we must sow it first. These are God given Kingdom rules!

What is wrong with the so-called "Prosperity Gospel" is not the teaching behind it, but the objective that it serves. It has become clear in the recent years that some such teachers were false, self-serving individuals, with no fear of God. They were serving the god of their own bellies.

But does the experience of false teachers and self-serving greedy people nullify the Scriptures and the laws of the Kingdom of God?

Even though I have never had much respect for Prosperity Gospel teachers, I always put into effect what they were teaching. Only, my motive and my drives were different. I was giving out of obedience to God, out of compassion for the people, and out of desire to see the Kingdom of God spread more and more. The Lord gradually taught me how to give in a self-less and self-denying way. When I learned my lessons, my priority became to first give to God what is due to Him and then meet the needs of my family and my own financial obligations.
The Lord has blessed me abundantly for that! Even though I am already running an expensive traveling ministry without any church or missions organization backing me up, I have never lacked financial resources. Cutting a long story really short, a year ago I was looking for a car to buy and I was praying much about it. Finally the Lord spoke to me saying:

After about 5 months, one night He led me out of the house in the middle of the night and took me to a car dealer's, where He showed me a brand new car, which was beyond my expectations. I thought I could not afford it, and I was also concerned about other things, like the reaction of my disciples and associates. He supplied most of the money in a very interesting way, and then my father called me up and proposed to give me a loan for the balance of the money, so that I could buy the car in cash! I did not ask my earthly father for money, but I discussed the subject with my Heavenly Father, and my earthly father responded to my need. The new car is in the photo. Then I had to resolve the issue of how my folks would react to the purchase of this expensive new car. My disciples who give their tithes cannot afford such a car, and the Pastors I associate with all struggle financially. As I was praying about it, the Lord asked me a simple question:

"How do people get saved?"

I said: they hear a testimony of someone who got saved, they believe and they receive eternal life.
Then He asked me:

"How do people get healed?"

I said: they hear a testimony of someone who got healed, they believe and they receive their healing. Then He asked me:

"How do people get Spirit filled?"

I said: they hear a testimony of someone who got Spirit filled, they believe and they become filled by the Holy Spirit... by that time I knew what was coming up! He said:

"How will people believe in the Lord of Provision, Abundance and Multiplication unless there is a physical manifestation and a living testimony?"

Anestis and Vassoula are my most committed disciples. My prayer changed Anestis' life from drugs to prosperity. They give their tithes faithfully. In less than two years the Lord blessed them with their own house, a car and a motorcycle...! My Lord of Provision and Abundance is their Lord too!
The conclusion on prosperity is this:
Whose will and whose authority are we enforcing into effect? Whom are we coming in agreement with as we give? Do we give in obedience, or, to serve our greed?

If you wish to unite with us with covenant for financial breakthrough, please seek the Lord first. This ministry operates only on the basis of what the Lord initiates, not on human strength.

Is there Light when there is poverty which keeps the children of God from doing God' s work on earth? Is there Light when the children of God do not have the same opportunities in life as the unbelievers? Is there Light when the children of God are deprived of the necessities of life because of lack of finances?
The answer is obviously NO... That is a form of darkness which is like an overcast day; gloomy, moody, a source of discouragement, even downright fear...
The Lord wants to supply His children on earth, with all His riches in Heaven! Darkness is the result of sin, but Jesus already paid the price for sin, so that we can move out of darkness and into His marvelous Light! That includes every area of our lives where the evil one can bring corruption and defilement to the physical temple of God on earth, His children! It can be health, it can be finances, it can be employment, it can be the marital status, or, the status of our own children, etc.

2Cor 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Some people think that this scripture is talking only about spiritual things. But the context of Paul's words before and after the above words is very clear (read the Bible); Paul is talking about finances and material possessions. He writes among other things: (2Cor 8:15) As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack." Jesus already paid the price: He became a curse, so that we may be blessed (i.e. spiritually). He also became poor that we may become rich, i.e. blessed also materially, just as spiritually.

The answer to this question concerning all areas of life is simple: OBEY THE LORD! As much as it is true that the Lord wants to bless us with all blessings, both spiritual and financial alike, the priority remains that we learn to be obedient people who walk according to God's will in our lives. God Who Provides said to Moses:

Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

The Lord was willing to provide for them, but in the beginning He only provided as much as sufficient for the day, so that He would test their obedience. But after a person is tested and found approved by the Lord, then more and more of God's promises can begin to manifest in our lives. Here is part of His promises to His children:

Deut 28:1 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: 3 "Blessed [shall] you [be] in the city, and blessed [shall] you [be] in the country. 4 "Blessed [shall] [be] the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 "Blessed [shall] [be] your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 "Blessed [shall] you [be] when you come in, and blessed [shall] you [be] when you go out.

Let us not miss the key words... "all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God". What is the key that unlocks God's promises for blessings? Obedience!

The answer to this question is in the Bible:

Deut 8:18 "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

After the Lord knows that He can trust a person, then He releases power that he/she may get wealth. But that is not the end of the story! The whole point is the establishment of God's covenant with his children, which is a covenant of blessings, which overturns the curses which the evil causes because of our sin and disobedience. Evil may come in anytime after God's blessing; God warns us:

Deut 8:19 "Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.

God may release power for wealth, but if we start worshipping the wealth instead of the wealth-Giver, then it is like worshipping Mammon. The Lord said that we cannot worship BOTH God and Mammon, for surely, we shall love one more and despise the other. When He gives us wealth, it is for the purpose of using it to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth, by giving as He directs us.
